Top 5 Questions People Ask Support
Common Question #1: "I put the ViewTracker™ code in my auction listings, but they're not tracking. I logged in and there's no (or incomplete) auction data there. What's up?"

ANSWER: There are two things that can cause this. First, and most likely, is that you simply haven't given ViewTracker™ enough time to populate your account with details on your new listing. ViewTracker™ receives information every time one of you auctions receives a visit. It also periodically makes calls to eBay's database on you behalf. It's possible that a new listing, which has not yet received any visits, is between eBay database calls and will therefore not show up in your ViewTracker™ account. To determine if this is what's occurring, simply view your auction in a Web browser yourself.

The other possible cause for this problem is that the code has been copied incorrectly into your auction descriptions. Please verify that the entirety of the code was included in your listing. If the problem persists and is not explained by either of these scenarios, contact customer support.

Common Question #2: "I copied the ViewTracker™ code into my auction template, but it's all gobbledygook, and the auctions aren't tracking."

ANSWER: Some design software, and auction listing software too - won't properly display your counter.
The way you fix this is to switch the software to "HTML" or "Enter your own HTML" mode instead of "Design" mode (or its equivalent). Our forum has several discussions about how to enter HTML code into various design applications. Search for these posts here.

Common Question #3: "I can't log in!" or... "I can't stay logged in" or... "I can't download my stats" or... "I can't sign up!"

ANSWER: This occurs when you've got your computer's security settings set to High and you haven't identified Sellathon.com as a "safe" zone, or if you've got javascript or cookies disabled.

Here's what to do:

If you're using a firewall, manually enter "Sellathon.com" as a permissible domain in your settings. Repeat the process with your "popup blocker" and anti-virus software.

Also, ViewTracker™ requires JavaScript and cookies. If you have those turned off, you won't be able to sign up for, log in to, or use ViewTracker. Go to your Internet security settings, and enable JavaScript and cookies.

That should do it. While you're at it, if you're using spam-blocking software, make sure you set "support@ sellathon dot com" as a safe address. If you ask a question, you want to be able to get the answer back, right?

Finally, make sure you're using an up-to-date browser and operating system. Believe it or not, we still get the occasional customer trying to use Netscape 4.0 or something from 1998. We've tested ViewTracker™ in all the latest browsers, and it works in IE 6+, and Mozilla Firefox 2.0+. (These are both free browsers!)

Common Question #4: "I know ViewTracker™ is supposed to show detailed bid history, but all I see is the number of bids an item has." Or... "I can't find where you display how many people are watching my listing."

ANSWER: You're simply need to look in the right location.

To view detailed bid and "watch" data, select an individual listing by clicking on its title within ViewTracker™ Summary page (or select a group of listings and then the "Display Grouped Hi-Lites" button). You'll then be presented the Detailed Visitors Log for this item (or group of items). Tip - The item number(s) associated with the data you're looking at will be displayed on the second line of the table's title bar. Finally, click the Bid History link (Under "Details") on the left-side list of navigation links.

Common Question #5: "I forgot my login/password. How do I retrieve my account information."

ANSWER: For security reasons, you must contact customer support to retrieve login information.
