Jeff Schlicht
Founder & CEO

As a frequent auction poster, Jeff gained considerable insight into the needs of online sellers. It was this experience that led him to create Auctiva Poster to automate the time-consuming process of listing his products (lumps of coal from the Titanic, as Auctiva legend goes) on eBay. Prior to founding Auctiva, Jeff spent eight years in software development, including architecting and developing supply chain planning software for PeopleSoft. He graduated with a degree in computer science from California State University, Chico.

Kevin Kinell
Vice President

Kevin joined Auctiva in 2000 as one of the company's original programmers. As vice president, Kevin is instrumental in driving the company's corporate strategy and product development. He is responsible for all internal engineering: guiding each of the development teams, directing the design of new features, and overseeing the management of the IT infrastructure. He graduated from California State University, Chico, with a degree in computer information systems and a minor in business administration.

Alan Lewis
Platform Manager

Alan worked in the software industry for 10 years before joining Auctiva to manage the development of the Auctiva Marketplace Platform. Previously, Alan was a product manager at eBay, where he created a number of innovative applications, including eBay Desktop and the eBay Mobile application for the iPhone. He is a recognized industry thought leader and frequent speaker at technology conferences and seminars. Alan graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in philosophy.

Tom Urbanowicz
Director of Engineering

Tom joined Auctiva's development team in 2007. He manages multiple development and support teams to guide development on a number of Auctiva products. In his more than 12 years in the software industry, Tom has performed a variety of technical and managerial roles, including founder and principal of a consulting business specializing in e-commerce Web development. Tom has been selling on eBay since 1999. He graduated from California State University, Chico, with a degree in English and Calvary Chapel Bible College with a degree in biblical studies.

Bennett Smith

Bennett sets the technical direction and leads the engineering effort for the Auctiva Marketplace Platform. He has more than 20 years of experience building high-quality software products and leading agile software development teams. Prior to joining Auctiva, Bennett held various positions in technology startups, large enterprise software vendors and semiconductor companies. He develops and teaches software-development courses in the University of California, Santa Cruz, Extension program. Bennett graduated from California State University, Chico, with a degree in computer science.

Spencer Smith
Business Development Manager

Spencer is responsible for Auctiva's marketing efforts, including product positioning, market strategy and business development. Spencer has nine years of experience in the software industry, working for companies such as Echopass and SunGuard. As an entrepreneur, Spencer was the owner and operator of a successful software consultancy, and currently runs a small e-commerce business. Spencer graduated with a degree in economics from Brigham Young University, where he later earned a graduate degree in business administration.

Tony Maxey
Senior Product Manager

Tony is responsible for planning and researching new product features for Auctiva.com. He coordinates the efforts of development, design, QA and customer support; serves as a liaison to eBay’s Certified Provider program; and is an internal advocate for our customers. Before joining Auctiva, Tony worked as the lead product manager for Oracle Corporation's order fulfillment application products. He graduated with a degree in business administration from Tennessee Tech University.

Jessica J. Wright
Human Resource/Office Manager

Jessica brings with her more than 13 years of experience in her field. She is responsible for all human resource functions, including staffing, benefit administration, payroll, compliance and employee relations. Jessica also designs and implements company policies, handles the company financials, serves as a primary liaison with other businesses, and is administrative assistant to the CEO.
